We have a juvenile Magpie who comes around to the birdbaths in the afternoon.

But today, I turned on the hose to refill the baths and didn't realize he was there.


















Not a problem! We wonder how he knew it was water!

Then,on the other end of the 'industrious' scale, is the cat.....

158) Birdbath Birding

My infirmity has restricted my outings of late. But the M-cat and I still enjoy

our locals coming in for a drink or a bath.

On the verge of her chatter at the birds...

Despite the 'everyday-ordinariness' of lorikeets (we get up to 20 at a time) we think it is very cool to have parrots on the deck...

We now have a group of 8 scaly-breasted lorikeets that visit regularly.




















Although we see flocks going by the little corella only occasionally stops in.
